That’s actually rather cute, if you ignore the fact that Dr. Brown was holding his patient by the leg when he returned her to Violet after the operation!

Interesting that Charlie Brown and Patty were already doctor and nurse. Exactly how close to some doctors and nurses were they getting? And at such a young age, too.

In a can. That was available in the 50s, it’s called contact cement and it’s nasty stuff… but it works like a wizard.

@Joshua—-Yep, back in the old days, they used sawdust or cotton. Today, I think they use mostly synthetic stuff or foam.

My mom often performed “surgery” on my stuffed animals, using needles, thread, and tape.

Male doctor, female nurse. Old school comic strip, no doubt.

This reminds of a spoof in Mad Magazine that had the Peanuts gang starring in prime time shows. One of these was “Young Dr. Brown,” in which Charlie Brown was a doctor who couldn’t bring himself to operate on Lucy, as he couldn’t stand the sight of blood. Enter Chief Surgeon Snoopy!

Doctors really do use superglue glue in place of sutures sometimes. And if you have a bad cut and can’t make it to a doctor, you can too.
