My typical response is “That’s nice, that means you’re leaving some other poor s.o.b. alone.” Yeah, I ne er really cared what others said about me. I do wish I had had as much fun as rumored though.
Mine would be, “And….?” But they would never talk to me. The worst enemies are the ones you don’t know about. I have had at least one I was aware of. Though never found out who.
