Peanuts Begins by Charles Schulz for October 25, 2018

I work at a library. I’ve had DVDs returned with wads of tissues stuck to the inside, mysterious sticky substances, and massive cracks on the disc itself. Scratches are the least of my worries!

Schroeder would so not like what Charlie Brown was doing with the record.

Forget how they sound. If that’s what normally happens when he checks one out I want to get some of those records. FAR MORE DURABLE THAN NORMAL RECORDS. That thing should have broken with everything he and Snoopy put it through and it’s merely been scratched.

First time I have wanted to administer corporal punishment to Charlie Brown.

Why was he playing with that record in the first place? Both he and Snoopy are guilty of damaging it.

Now how did that record get so scratchy?

They’re pretty tough though!

The same with the DVDs I check out of the library today. Other patrons scratch them all up.

Why it would be?

Where’s the album cover?

It’s a miracle that record didn’t break being treated so roughly…As a vinyl aficionado, I take great offense to CB and Snoopy treating a record that way!

“Disc Jockeys?”

On the good side, this will almost complete funding on the new Brown annex.

I grew up on library records.

I remember seeing this one as a kid in the early ‘50s/’60s collections; I thought it was funny but somehow missed out on the sense of “facepalm/outrage” that I experience now. Still love Peanuts forever.

Oops.

Feelings -errrp – Feelings – errrp – Feelings – skriiitch – ……more than feelings.

All the kids and young adults out there are saying, “What’s a record?”

Library records also don’t like being used as clay pigeons. Not that I have any experience with this. (innocent look)

The title of that record is Find a wheel and it goes round, round, round.

I remember records!

Wow, Charlie Brown is so mean towards Snoopy in the earlier comics, no wonder why Snoopy distances himself from him later on. Charlie, this is not how you approach a dog to get something back, I would not ever treat my dog this way even if she had the worthiest thing I had ever own.
