Can we all just appreciate for a moment that this is the only entertainment medium where this joke could work so well?
If it was a book then the author would be “lying” to us if he didn’t let us know that the “object” that made the hole in one was a divot rather than the ball, while a movie would have been forced to show the divot in flight because they couldn’t utilize the line-of-flight symbol that the comic book medium can to briefly mislead us into thinking it was the golfball in that hole rather than the divot.
