There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call … The Twilight Zone.
The twilight Zone was the one show that could scare me. While in college I would watch the Twilight Zone and after that watch Johnny Carson to calm down enough to sleep. I am convinced that Rod Serling was either an alien or totally insane.
After I found out that one of the show’s main writers died of a form of early onset Alzheimer’s only three years after the show was canceled, a lot of things about it made much more sense.
