Interesting memories for such a young lad. I remember some boozy night but not in Rio. An like Daniel Jacobson all I really remember are the hangovers.
Guess I was pretty lucky in my youth… only had one serious hangover, and that drunken night included falling out of a train, amongst other things. Learned a valuable lesson that night and no matter how hard the party after that. I always controlled my drinking enough (ok, sometimes only just enough) to avoid a repeat.
Only time I tried to get drunk, I couldn’t. FIL just had a major stroke. It was New Years Eve. Drank over 1/2 a bottle of champagne and it didn’t do a thing.

Yes, I went through long boozy nights, when I was young, but, all I remember was waking up with painful hangovers and twice, it was in jail.
