Moooove on backstage, Opus!

“No Opus… it’s the udder guy.”
I did a show once where the leading man missed an entrance, and the next line depended on it. We tried to cover it onstage, and one guy ad libbed, “Uh, yeah, we gotta pull Johnny outta that girl!”
And then he realized what he’d said.
Sometimes method acting creates problems, like this one.
Golly, gee whiz, romantical leading cow! It’s just a small-time amateur production! Don’t have a cow, man!
