Looks like how winter hits us in Michigan.

Does it have a ‘pumpkin-spice’ scent? No? Be glad you are well before it will.

(sigh) I remember when we used to have seasons.

Bloom County must be somewhere in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

My piece of the world is showing its colors right now… it’s only a matter of time before panels 2 and 3 happen, however… :-|

It’s in the air here (W. PA) I could see my breath this morning when I went outside with my dogs.

I’m not gonna give this one a ‘like’.

Meanwhile, “Down Under” Spring has suddenly sprung. The fruit trees have burst into blossom and I’ve started “unwinterising” the pool.

Two weeks ago we were in the 90s, yesterday we didn’t even hit 70˚F. Won’t be long ‘til I’m shovelin’ snow.

That is exactly how it happens around here. Exactly.

In south-central NY (Binghamton area) the winters are a lot milder than they used to be. We still get a lot of snow but it gets warmer between snowfalls and rains so there’s no substantial snowpack. We still get some bitter cold but it’s zero to five below for 2-4 days instead of ten below or colder for a week to ten days. August is not as hot and humid either and July is now pleasant. Climatologists call that anecdotal evidence. It works for me, climate change is real and not good in most places.

It was 100 degrees Tuesday in Middle Georgia.

It’s like The Angry Beavers Cursed Dreaded Winter episode.

Here in St. Louis we’ve been “enjoying” July in September. 90s and humid. Supposed to get cooler, mainly because the remnants of the gulf storm are going to swing up here later.

Would love it cooler in So. Cal and The Big Island of Hawaii. Bring on Winter please.

Hasn’t really happened yet here in Chicagoland, but I expect it will soon enough….
