Opus has imbibed a little too liberally, it seems. I blame on the auteur/director, the arch-evil Milo Bloom!

H Bunker Runt: (hmm sounds like Herbert Walker B***) I remember this one! Hilarious in how he is obviously going after one of the right wing political families from TX. Quite the guest list too: Phyllis Schlafly, Pat Boone (probably decked out in black leather), Chuck Heston and Bob Hope and heck, the Oak Ridge Boys might show up as well! Give Opus a Tony award!

Their obsession with alternate lifestyles is puzzling. I don’t care how others live their lives, I have my own to live and that is plenty. I’m not sure if it just isn’t jealousy of some kind.

Hmmm… It would appear that Binkley has found his true calling. Looking good, too, I must say!

The last panel is a riff on an old joke:

Southern Senator: “Some people say I’m a bigot. Well, I’ll tell you right here and now I’m no bigot. I hates bigots! In fact, the only thing I hates more than bigots is n******!”

The more things change the more they remain the same. Why do so many people cling so stubbornly to an era that’s long gone and was never like they imagine it was?
