G Gordon Liddy for chancellor? Wow, I think in the mid ‘80s he was already released from prison and he popped up in a couple of Miami Vice episodes as Don Johnson’s former commander in Nam who goes rogue. He had a talk show in the ’90s, pretty far right views for the most part but he did believe that there were serious issues with law enforcement decades ahead of the current protests. I believe he made the quote “Aim for the head.” on his show concerning where to target cops who wear Kevlar gear.
in my college half the kids came from public school half from private. the ones from private schools went off the rails so fast it wasn’t funny-cutting loose with lots of money and no sense of personal responsibility having been locked down so hard it was embarrassing.
for example freshman year I got back to me dorm late on a friday night and there were little black things floating in the air and a patch of carpet was missing. I asked my room mate what happened?
well it seemed the private school kids started drinking early. threw up in the hall way and when it was pointed out the janitor would not be there until monday morning they decided instead of mopping it up to set fire to the carpet to burn it off.
Back when this was originally published $30,000 a year put you at the verge of being Upper Middle Class. Adjusting for inflation today that number is closer to $300,000 and those Crazy Kids are now running the World into the ground.
