Maybe Bill would feel more comfortable on Carson or Nightline with Ted Koppel. Personally I liked Letterman back in the ’80s, he gave some pretty good college radio/indie/alternative bands some exposure on “Late Night”. Koppel was good for some interesting debates; I remember one where the Mayor of Baltimore, Kurt Schmoke and William F Buckley (of all people) teamed up to push for the legalization of marijuana in the mid to late ’80s. I forget who was on the opposing side but I recall these 2 gentlemen from opposite sides of the political spectrum made a damn good argument for full out legalization! I kind of miss quality late night TV.
As part of my comic reading list, I have Bloom County 2019. Shouldn’t that be updating to show us BB’s more recent work such as the current search for Calvin of C&H fame? Do I need to add a different comic to my list because I can’t find anything obvious.
Of Bill’s mixed feelings, which is THPTPTH!! and which is ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK? (I, too, have mixed feelings about Letterman: early on, I liked his show a lot, but in later years as he became more and more openly politically partisan, I was turned off and turned him off) —I’ll take PFFT (at small scale) as Bill’s expression of relief after all that exertion: he is still recovering….

Any particular reason why this comic is suddenly shrunk to half the size of the others?

If David letterman was going to see Bill today, they both would be coughing up hair balls given the size of letterman’s beard.
