Couldn’t make out the copywrite date, but this is definitely a very early strip in the series.

it would have worked if girls were bad at math like everyone says….

But of course they’re both wrong. The numbers he used are all constants, not functions, and they don’t change with respect to time or anything else, so the derivative is simply zero. No calculations needed. But it looks like they’re kids, and calculus is rarely taught in grade school, so I suppose we should excuse them both.

For the mathematically dis-inclined: The derivative of any number is zero, and any number raised to the zeroth power is one.

I would never be so shallow & insensitive as to rate women on a 1-10 scale.

I rate them by how many beers I’d need………

He didn’t rate her a zero, which as far as looks go, she is. She is aggressive enough that she will get a man, whether he likes it or not.
