go comics has abandoned all pretense of order as this isn’t the first strip in the story arc. that starts with opus getting the call and trying to get steve on his feet.

Mrs. Whacker’s first name wouldn’t happen to be Lizzie, would it? (Okay, somebody, put in the verse here.)

She seems perfectly sane to me.

She looks like the librarian from Binkley’s anxiety closet who (with an axe) came to collect his massive overdue fines. A few librarians I know kept that cartoon on their desks.

Poor Steve is so out of his depth with this one.

Mrs. Whacker is such a doll! But how’d she get her big ol’ axe into prison with her?!

Wait, we just saw this story arc.

Having an ax in close proximity to an ax murderer may not be a wise idea.
