Happy Birthday Barry Manilow, 80 today.

A Mexican restaurant that I went to only played Manilow songs. I asked the waitress if they would play something else and was told that the manager liked Manilow and wouldn’t change it. I never went back.

That’s great! Just great! Now I have Mandy stuck in my head as an ear worm…time to cue up Led Zeppelin and Earnest Tubb simultaneously to get rid of it.

This wouldn’t be the same Moose lodge who, years ago, voted to condemn a school dance concert of The Rolling Stones by using the secret “moose mating call,” would it?

I will commit hari-kari (sic) if you will show me how.

Got to admit that song IS a good suggestion.

It’s a shame. Why do so many people want to bury Manilow?

I always liked barry- and elton ,too, just to bad they are fruitier than a fruit cake.If I delete them from my music library, I lose all that good music.

I still occasionally listen to Barry’s first four or five albums, when I’m in the mood for sappy love songs.

Never have understood the hate for certain performers or their music… ain’t nothing wrong with Barry in his own genre.

Personally, I don’t care too much for his style of music and don’t have any in my home but that doesn’t make him or his music as terrible as some folks here make him/it out to be.

The big error in this arc is continuing to refer to a sousaphone as a tuba. They are most definitely different instruments and herring breath has a sousaphone wrapped around his tubby little bod.
