Additionally, I recall that Steve campaigned for Jesse Jackson after he spent time with the aliens and that Frank (Oliver Wendall Jones’ Dad) liked Al “I am in control!” Haig but those stories are for another time.

I guess it’s somewhat true. The Democrats attempt to solve the myriad problems of the country whereas the Republicans are laser focused on the wealthy, maintaining their terms of office, and satisfying the needs of whatever lobbyists pay them well.
