“Several hundred months to go” — that’s how it always feels from the time the first political ads show up on TV, until the actual Election Day.
“Analysis”.
The only poll number that is truly meaningful is how few people vote (the 2/3 in 2020 was the most since 1900)
Remember when the world was full of possibilities, and all of them younger than 80?
I’ll bet ALF would get a lot of write in votes.
Far too true then, and far worse today!
Dick Gephardt – now there’s a blast from the forgotten past!
..ah, back in the days when we had the disillusion of actual choice..
Things haven’t changed much in the last 25 years.

ALF runs afoul of the Residency Rules:
Willie: You can’t vote, ALF, you’re not a citizen.
ALF: I’ll apply for a green card.
Willie: That’s only if you want a job.
ALF: Pass.
[pause]
ALF: I know, I’ll marry Lynn. Become a citizen, vote, then drop her like a hot potato.
Willie: ALF…
ALF: Sure it will be hard on her at first. She’ll cry, drink a little too much, join with a bongo player named Joaquin.
ALF: You’d like Joaquin, he doesn’t like beets.
Willie: Neither you nor Joaquin may marry my daughter and you may not vote.
ALF: Fine. I have no voice in government, Joaquin will get deported, and they’ll make him eat beets.
Willie: How many cups of coffee have you had?
ALF: Forty. Why?
The US has the longest election cycles of all countries.
Couldn’t possibly have a single darned thing to do with the way campaigns are funded.
Yeah: Camp-pains.
Polls are the death of honest convictions and the birth of pandering.
Steve Kornacki’s spiritual forebear?
And not a word in there about Trump.
So Milo’s PRESS pass says PUSH.
Sadly, this is the current state of political reporting. If the Media focused on issues instead of the horse race, the election would already be a blowout
At least Milo did some analysis. Something rare today…
