Oh oh. That’s like seeing Ronald McDonald eating at Burger King. (For those who don’t know, Spuds was the ‘spokesman’ for Bud Light.)

And later a veterinarian assistant released the most d**ning info that Spuds was actually a female drag dog. It was the beginning of the end for Bud Light.

40 years later, are we sure A-B parent company InBev doesn’t OWN Heineken? Molson Coors owns like 20 or so beer brands, including ones in Europe that are 800 years old.

Lots of politicians got away with a DUI or two: Bush 43 racked up a couple (and I will not delve into his alleged cocaine abuse), his VP Cheney did as well (plus the guy was dangerous when shotguns and alcohol mix as was reported by that incident at his TX ranch), additionally current VP hopeful Walz got one in Nebraska which he was force to own up to recently and Ted Kennedy did not get a DUI but the incident at Chappaquiddick torpedoed his chance of beating Carter in the 1980 primaries but he nonetheless stayed a very powerful voice for progressives for his entire life. Alcohol is one addictive devil.

I never could taste any difference between Heinie and Rolling Rock (pi$$ in a can) and the multitudinous An-howz-er Busch products.

That killed Spuds’ political career dead. And Budweiser dropped him as spokes dog not long after.

Ah the good old days, when scandals would knock a candidate out of the race.
