When I saw Foster Brooks on TV I thought he was really drunk. IRL he rarely drank.

Spuds was one of the ugliest dogs ever used for advertising. But of course, An-how-zer Bussshhh (nka Stella) products are pretty unappealing as well.

I got what’s on the wheelbarrow in panel 4 – “Get Down! Get Funky!”. I got what’s in Panel 7 on Spud’s Shirt – “Party Hardy”. I don’t know what that is that’s taped to the wall in panel 5, and I think I’ve got part of what’s on the Magazine – “Celebrity Dog. Let’s do it [garbled]”. I thought maybe the garbled part was “Doggie Style”, but it doesn’t look like that…

Yup! They’re not Spuddies at that point.

1) “Bimbos”? They dare call hardworking sex workers “bimbos”??? For shame. 2) So, was contracting with Dylan Mulvaney a step up, or down, from Spuds?

When the strip had Spuds going to rehab a while back, I was waiting for this strip. One of my favorites.

Poor Spuds. Being a spokesdog for a beer company is a dead-end career.
