Nate should get behind calendar revision. Less months and longer months; yeah, that’s the ticket.

Already cold and wet where you are, JP? Still hot here in Atlanta (but not for long).

Nate just not living in reality, he could get the Captain to sail to warmer climate and not worry about month it is.

JP Steve: I’ll gladly switch with you. This week on average was in 102-106 with the humidity. At least it’s going to cool down on the weekend, but I honestly thought this cr*p was over and done with.

    Good Hump Day Crew!!!

Been in the 90’s with lots of humidity here for the last four days and the mid 90’s and more humidity predicted for today, the first of September.

Nate will change the lyrics and sing

“It was the first of September, a day I will always remember, the day my Mama told me summer died”

I live here in Detroit. Birmingham is a suburb of Detroit where Chip and I use to remodel homes together. He is a good friend and a wonderful wit. The earlier strips where way more cut-throught and the crew didd’nt even have names LOL. Mostly they just ripped on each other. If you ever get a chance look at is earlier work, I think you will find it just as amusing even before the dogs.

JP Steve: Me too. I went to bed the night of 30 August and woke up, feeling veryRip Van Winklish, in mid November…cold, wind and rain. It’s sunny this morning, guess I better go shopping for the Thanksgiving turkey.

By the way, I really appreciate a strip without mice, talking dogs and oversized cats. (hint, hint)

SO GREAT TO SEE A STRIP REMINISCENT OF THE OLD DAYS! And to see Nate once again battling the end of summer! YA WHO!

And yes, August and summer, period, you entice us with your beauty and wonder and make us feel it will last forever, only to yank it out from under us!

In case no one has ever heard this before :-D

I LOVE SUMMER, HEAT AND ALL! I HATE WINTER!
