In 2016, for the first time in 16 years, Death Valley- the driest place in North America- bloomed with wildflowers! Secretary birds of sub-Saharan Africa use their feet to stomp their prey to death! King Edward I of England (1239-1307) was known as Longshanks because he stood over six feet tall- a giant at the time!

“Everybody take it to the top. We’re gonna stomp all night. In the neighborhood, don’t it feel all right—” Brothers Johson.

I’m surprised they didn’t mention that Secretary Birds also eat snakes… which they also stamp to death. Awesome birds to see here.

King Edward was a tall one. The art museum of Philadelphia has a collection of body armor (knights) from the Middle Ages. It’s amazing how short everybody was.

I would’ve thought Secretary birds would type their victims to death.

Seeing body armor from those days in a museum gives me an idea of how small people were.
