The insistence on continuity in long-running comic strips is the hobgoblin of little minds……Let’s face it, Snoopy started out in life being born an only dog, and later started to collect siblings (which apparently breed like bunnies!)
So that’s how he ascended the throne. And I used to think he wasn’t as bad as he seemed.
He was an adult when he made the comment that he was an only dog. Schulz changed his mind later, as is the prerogative of women and cartoonists.
For just a moment there, I thought somehow I was switched back to Peanuts…
