Danger, danger!

Never understood the point of dissecting a frog. There’s plenty of pictures to show what all is in there. Fortunately, I had a lab partner that was all into that and I just watched. -

Eldo – your pictures make one wonder why we love cats. Last Rose – sick chemist – funny! And ‘you know that awful feeling you get on Sunday’ – never happens to us retired folks either. Happy – you definitely win the award for weirdest pictures today

I was a middle school science teacher for 36 years. There were several reasons why we didn’t dissect. 1) “Not tested on the ‘No Child Left Behind Test’ so cannot be taught” (I’m not kidding here), 2) ‘remains’ are considered “toxic waste” and there would be a disposal problem (again, not kidding). Wonder why education is in decline? I gladly got out when I could.

So many of these dance routines are similar – and, to me, boring.This one will blow you away.

Sounds like the Geology class I took. Loved it.

Check out the comic “Lost Sheep”. That is a perfect depiction of springtime in Colorado. Third day of snow, but it isn’t sticking down here in town. The foot hills have measurable, but we are just getting moisture. We’ll take it. Weather Channel has us in the 70’s on Wednesday and 80 on Thursday.

We did that in Biology 101. I remember a fellow who was in Pre-Med who dissected an “extra” frog without pithing him. (I’m sure he made a wonderful doctor…not!) Also, while we’re about it…the Pre-Meds would move the pointers on the lab practicum so people would make mistakes. Sheesh!

What I hated about dissecting frogs, was the smell of formaldehyde. I could smell it on myself when I got home.:-(
