I doesn’t look like carpet around the bar it looks like concrete! Most bars have tile or wood floors around the bar. I’d expect that is the case in pubs also.

The bar has carpet? I’ll bet that stinks!

Since when do bars have carpets?

Jack’s pub seems to have a white carpet or one that’s been bleached so many times it’s lost all colour..For the basic pub experience there was always Yate’s Wine lodge.

the ugly patterned rugs were used in theaters and high traffic areas. back then people who smoked often flipped the butt on the floor. some didn’t bother to step on it. the type of carpet we used wouldn’t burn. Better to have a wet carpet than a slippery floor. I’d seen good thick carpets in hospitals so that’s the type I asked for. .@ElSegundo if you are 30 yr older than someone who is in their 60’s you don’t have to worry about “where is the bar” it’s on the 2d floor. we don’t have a wheelchair access. .
