The real reason they ask you to stand up during services: to keep you awake.

If he taught the truth in church, people might stay awake. On second thought, they’d probably fire the preacher and hire one to “tickle their ears”.

Funny, the fastest way to revive most of us is to take things away and winnow us down to Him and us. Makes you think of all those cries for revival over the last decade and how the US nearly collapsed. God answers; we just don’t like the reply sometimes.

Glad our church has somewhat cushions. It’s up to Pastor to keep people up. Need audience participation at times.

Long ago, Jesus warned that people would go astray and faith grow dim–but just when you least expect it, he would return. It’s still true: too many people think that they can get around to services and to religion “tomorrow”–but tomorrow it may be too late. And, if you wait for enough tomorrows, it will be too late.
