But judging from the rabbit that has taken up in our yard, rabbits love dandelions. There’s simply no denyin’…………

Love your dandelions! Dandelions are crucial to to survival of honeybees and honeybees are crucial to the survival of you!

Its time to start making Dandelion Salad.

What’s worse are the roots of a honey locust after it has been cut down….guy came twice to grind the stump/roots. New locusts coming up 30’ away, thru a driveway crack……still one or two after 3 years. And, buckthorns? All over and they are banned in Michigan. Growing up the old Italian women in black would pick dandelions, for dandelion wine?

Dandelions actually make for a good salad green, especially when paired with wild green onions.

Dandelion are good for tea, wine, salad, and annoying your neighbor. Just be careful about lawn fertilizers that have “broad leaf herbicide” blended in.

Talk about survival of the fittest … may the best dandelions win.

Good Sunday afternoon, Crew!

I have a service that takes care of weeds and fertilizer for my lawn. I rarely see dandelions in my yard. A block away, there are lawns that more dandelion than grass. They also are badly overgrown.

Dandelion is a French word meaning “tooth of lion”. No I don’t know how I know that.
