Aparrently Dana is on the “reading to children” circit at the moment, so an animated adaptation might still be a while. But when the casting call comes, I want to be told.

My husband’s grandmother would give the kids (12 and up) – grandkids and great grandkids a tablespoon of brewed coffee in their milk in the morning to wake them up.

You’re too young for coffee, Pheebs. I wasn’t allowed to have it until I was 16. You can have Postum, instead. But I recommend seeing if you can find the blue-label stuff. I saw it was making a comeback, but it seems like all that’s coming back is the red-label. It’s supposed to be coffee flavored, but it’s awful.

Or you can move to Costa Rica where all the kids get to drink coffee.

I was never allowed to have coffee as a child, because the caffeine was bad for me. But I could have all the cola and iced tea I wanted.
