Last Saturday, my husband & I went to one of regular places. You are supposed to wait to be seated. As the server came forward he nodded to our regular table & as he got closer, I saw he already had our drinks. He’d seen us as we parked.
My wife and I have several “favorite” restaurants, and none of them have a counter (unless you consider the bar a counter). It’s so nice to walk in, have the host or hostess greet you with your name, seat you and ask if you will be having your “regular” beverage before you place your meal order.
