CHAIN LUBE

Miss Plainwell: Squeak intervals? I've never heard of squeak intervals.
Frazz: They're brutal. But once you're motivated, there's no not doing them.
I saw a cop pull a bicycle, yesterday. The guy had run a red light and turned across in front of me while I had the green. The officer was Stopped on the other side of the intersection. When I saw that the blue lights had been turned on, I circled the block to see what, if anything, was being done. I passed by just in time to hear the officer tell him in a fairly loud voice. " No sir, you are not the same as a pedestrian and you did not have the right of way."
It’s not the bracket, but I’m not sure that it isn’t the post (it’s one of those spring-loaded things). Even though I had already lubed and tightened the bracket, I took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it. I thought the problem might be where the rails are wedged into the nose of the saddle (they aren’t bolted down or anything on that end), and I was waiting for the epoxy to set when I posted last night. But there was still some noise this evening. The noise is louder when temperature and humidity are high, and it was cooler tonight, so it’s hard to say if my efforts had any effect at all.

My saddle has recently started squeaking. More of a creaking really, but it’s driving me crazy.

thebird55, are you sure it’s the seat? I had the same problem and it turned out it was me…

Now they know that the way to drive Frazz crazy is a playing card in the wheel.

I thought it was my bike making the noise – turned out it was me.
