    I LOVE THE CICADAS! Love to hear them. I don’t think they are due here this time around though, sigh! To our south, yes, maybe some will get here. There are always some in summer though, if you listen real close.

    One of those got into my hair when I didn’t know it. It was either last summer or two summers ago. It came out in the house. Ironically, several summers before that, I was visiting my aunt and we went to the local pool and one got in her hair. She shrieked twice before it flew out.

    I remember those sounds in some summers. We had a cat who would stalk them and eat them. I don’t remember them at all in the city. Maybe they are drowned out by all the city sounds. (Sirens, mercy flights, etc.) Or maybe pesticides.have eliminated them. :-(

    Cicadas are coming up here a bit and the ants and my cat are all finding it fascinating. I think the cat might be eating some like the ants do.
