I guess that Tracy didn’t hear any of the conversation (phew!) but Tracy had better hurry up and get there! (My weekly report will be delayed a bit. I’ll try to get it up here soon.)
Gweedo queried,Are you sure about the Count’s brides, Bill ?They can be a real drain on a guy.-————————————————————————————.I considered the Bride of Frankenstein but she looks a fright!.Hmmm… Elvira?
Yeah, I’m a bit unnerved by Notta’s reaction, too, Gweedo. Possible that she DID hear Blaze’s conversation, and is lulling her into a false sense of confidence?
WillySorry, Willy, I’ve been fighting a bug all week, and didn’t write what I meant yesterday. Let me try again…-I never understood the fascination with Notta’s outfit. At the time and in context, she was just wearing ‘Moon Girl’ style, which was almost the same as a one-piece swim suit common in that era. (I saw Notta was a far lesser light compared with the women of Marvel Comics.)-It was in the post ‘Moon adventures’ stories that her outfit seemed out of place to me, and I took it simply to be her exhibitionism. Remember the slogan, “if you’ve got it, flaunt it”? I never saw it’s BDSM influence until you pointed it out.-The comments you quoted yesterday sounded like what I’d said about Mrs. Peel as the Queen of Sin in “A Touch of Brimstone:” that she wasn’t so much the dominatrix, as the prize.-My remark about the oxymoron of “dominatrix submissive” was just that it is, and from your quote, I could see they knew that. -As Neil correctly pointed out, there are people who switch roles in that stuff; I was just referring to the context of The Avengers’ story.
The storyline map is revised at http://dt.canadatoyou.com/nottafallarmove/. I changed the title of Act 4. This week is starting Act 5. More commentary will come later in the day.
Top o’ the morning, Vista Bill and others of the Morning Crew….
Whew! Looks like Blaze dodged a bullet, at least for the moment. But “thirty minutes” is short notice (what if Blaze had been asleep in bed, for instance) and sounds suspicious. I don’t know where in her abbreviated costume Notta packs heat, but if I were Blaze I’d be looking over my shoulder every one of those thirty minutes and would be ready to duck for cover, fast.Hurry, Tracy!
I was actually starting to like Blaze, hoping she would turn herself around like The Mole did. Unfortunately I think we will be seeing Tracy finding her lifeless body all too soon….
Well, well. I actually thought about the “ordering pizza” excuse yesterday, but never posted a comment about it. Now i wish I had, because it is not very often I guess correctly.
So Notta did overhear the conversation, but is faking out Blaze. Blaze may be “gone” within 30 minutes, but not in the way she is currently thinking.
There are still some major loose ends in this story. What is Notta getting from Bribery in the packages? Where is the missing gold? Just how conscious is Purdy?
Will Blaze pull off another “Dave Millar” and get away unharmed with the gold, but then give it over for the care of Purdy once Notta is “gone”?
It seems Notta didn’t hear afterall but I think she is faking it, testing Blaze. Everyone predicting Blaze’s death I think is going too far. She seems a valuable character to me and worth further exploration. Could Liz play a role here in a rescue? If someone is going to die….Purdy?
Notta looks Blaze in the eyeDid ye order pizza pie?You know the way that I like mineCrust garlic buttered to a shine.Topped with sausage, piled with cheeseOnions, peppers, if you please.Purdy loves the smell of itCan’t partake, as he’s unfitTo devour a pizza pieNary a slice since he did “die.”Tracy says, “crime does not pay”Life sans pie is not the wayTo live a life that’s lush and richOn second thought, make mine deep dish.
Speaking of which, it’s a good thing that Notta mentioned ordering pizza. Made it easy for Blaze to fill in the blanks. “PIzza? Oh yeah, sure, that’s it, I’m ordering pizza!”
I think Notta knows—or, at least, suspects—what Blaze is up to. When Notta says, “We’ll be gone in 30 minutes”, I think she applies a different meaning of “gone” to Blaze than she does to herself. Hopefully, the MCU will arrive before Notta does anything to Blaze.
Will Tracy and Sam show up in pizza uniforms, lol? Anyways, unlikely Blaze joins her sis, because 1) her death would really be partly on Tracy for going along with such a risky plan, and 2) they went to great trouble to make Blaze “good”with their unrealistic about face on Flakey’s death…….
I don’t get why the colorist keeps giving Notta green hair. She’s blonde like in the Sundays. Not enough attention to detail. They did the same thing to Moon Maid a few years ago. At least they got that right now.
