LROS: Mmm. I once rented a house with a sour cherry tree in the back yard. When they were ripe, the cherries came right off leaving the pits on the stem! Right into the pie shell! Dang, they were good pies!

Good morning, everyone. It’s going to be extremely hot here over the next few days. I have a favour to ask: could you all keep a good friend of mine in mind today. He is undergoing surgery to remove a lymph node that is probably cancerous.

Thanks to all for the comments. Now I’m finally off to the neurologist to find out why my left wrist and hand hurt so much. Wouldn’t you know, the closer I got to today, the less the darn thing hurts.

Last Rose – didn’t get to reply to your ‘bad day’ pic yesterday.I had just started a 15 gallon batch of cranberry wine and had it in a trash can I use for that (only). It was covered with fabric to let air get to it so the yeast would grow. Our Maine Coon took a leap and landed in it, then promptly took off all over the house trying to shake off the red, sticky fruit/sugar solution.The wine turned out fine, but I never started a batch in the kitchen again.

@bbear….I’ll have half of that purrtilizer pie. Yum.

After spending most of yesterday evening squabbling and scrapping with each other the brats then curled up in the cat bed together and gave me a “what?” look
