When you are churning along at 15+mph, ambient temperature in the 60s+, the wind in your face keeps your brain from cooking. So no face masks while cycling except in really cold weather. Mustaches and beards help a lot.

Worst insect strike ever? Seven-year locusts, dragonflies, and June bugs. Dragonflies generally see and fly well enough to avoid you. The insects with stingers are generally more intelligent and have better eyesight.

You don’t want to know how many spiders the average person swallows in a lifetime while sleeping.
