Vegetable oils are quite adaptable to machine uses. Biodegradable too.
But elbow grease isn’t so good so we’re safe. For now. But when the machines take over….
I wouldn’t worry. We will be just another nuisance, like the cockroach is to us.
We used to use vegetable oil to lubricate the rails on the fooseball table in the Acey Ducey Club in Rota, Spain. It worked fine for about half an hour, then wound up gumming them up and made it worse than with no lube.
