Well we are back to rain. It rained all night long and a frog did his ribbit thing all throughout the night, as well.

We are all going over to Dry’s for breakfast. She won’t mind cooking up a feast for us on Sunday morning.

Buenos Dias, Cleo! Oh please, please, please, can I drive us to Dry’s?

This is what I get for sleeping in, huh? Okay, get your respective selfs over here, and I’ll rustle up some grub!!

Okay, explain please. Is that Baldo, is this a “futuristic” thing, or what?

Dry, we will arrive at your casa shortly. It seems to be a “futuristic” thing to me.

Cleo, get your nekkid self in the car!

I’m all ready. Carmy is driving so I am putting on two seat belts.

Cleo, please do not try to escape until the vehicle has come to a complete stop.

Being in the trunk JFri is the safest place to be when Carmy is driving.

JFri! You finally woke up. Get yourself together, we’re getting ready to eat here at Dry’s house.

Welcome all! Glad to see you made it in one piece!

Hope you don’t mind that it’s lunch and not breakfast! My very special homemade spagetti sauce served over a bed of homemade gnocchi, freshly baked bread, a huge salad, fried chicken, warm, not cold, hot peppers mixed with garlic and oil, Madiera wine, and pizalles and cannolis with Espresso Macchiato coffee for dessert. This is an authentic Italian meal like my Great Aunt used to make on Sundays, hope you enjoy.

Yummy, Yummy! Everything looks lovely, deliciously lovely!!

I don’t think I’m going to fit behind the steering wheel after enjoying all this delicious food.

Let’s see. There’s my head, my arm, a few loose teeth. Oh! And there’s my leg. Now to put myself together. Wow, Carmy sure is a wild driver!

JFri, you should have used the seat belt. :-P

Dry, I keep a seat belt in the trunk in case someone has to ride back there. You are welcome for the compliment. I think I have to nap now because I truly enjoyed your authentic Italian meal and I think I ate a wee bit too much. Cleo and JFri are going to have to thumb their way back to the PNW or they can wait until I awaken from my huge Italian meal induced sleep.

Delicious meal. I am glad that I volunteered you for our daily meal. Carmy, I don’t know about JFri, but with food like this who is in a hurry to return home.

On that note I have been making green tomato ketchup today.

Well there’s proscutto ham, cappacola and pasta salad with lots of breads and Italian Wedding Soup (the REAL HOMEMADE, NOT CANNED) for supper, So dig in!

Sounds delicious Dry. I finished with the ketchup and then made green tomato and apple chutney.

Where am I sleeping tonight, have you an extra room Dry?

What a terrible hostess I am, I forgot all the cheeses and mustards for your sandwiches! And this lovely relish tray!

Cleo! I do now, I shall put fresh clean sheets on the bed, and a clean towel set in the bathroom for you!

I am assuming you mean Apple Chutney and Green Tomato Chutney, 2 separate items.

i hate shoping!!!

we shoped all day yesterday! it was crazy. whats even more anoying is that i was just there to help mrs p bc she was paying for some stuff for her sons girlfriend and his girlfriends sister. so i was there to help her, but shoping sucks

Hi Tabby! Yeah I hear ya’! Yesterday and today was pretty much that for me too! If you read the posts, you know about the “Mattress ride” yesterday! Today I dropped another $200 on groceries! I’ll be getting paid back, but that’s quite a chunk, and the payments will be in installments, but hey, what are parents for. I remember all the things mine did for all of us, so now it’s payback time!

I actually like shopping Tabby, but it sucks when you reach the cash register.

time for some food and a movie. love you all!

I just caught up on a movie we were watching last night, that I fell asleep during; “Solitary Man” with Michael Douglas.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! Cleo fell asleep during a movie? No way!! Well Bub, I have a couple of good movies picked out for your visit, so YOU BETTER NOT FALL ASLEEP! Otherwise, your hostess will feel bad, she’ll think she bored you to tears! :-)

I fell asleep for hours! I got this “cold” thing going on. Runny nose and a sore, scratchy throat. I had some chicken soup and I feel a bit better, but still tired. We had a whopper of a thunderstorm earlier!

Dry, I am sure that FHIG would keep me awake at all times.

By the way, sleep is my friend and I embrace it.

My life is so much more exciting in my dreams and my dreams are as vivid as real life and as detailed.

Carmy what works for me is bourbon, lemon and hot water.

Cleo I remember you saying that about your dreams some time back! Sometimes mine are too, but when I wake up and want to go back to them, I can’t fall back to sleep. I have nightmares once in a great while, but not often, thank goodness!

Cleo, sleep is my friend too! No bourbon in the casa :-(

Carmy I hope you feel better soon! I hate when I get a cold! Don’t get them much, but when I do, they are usually miserable, but only for a day or two, I take Zicam and Airborne, and load up on Chicken soup or broth with lots of garlic, parsley and any other good veggie I can find to thrown in, like broccoli and I throw in about a Tablespoon of crushed red pepper spice!

Movie time.

Carmy, whiskey? Or Chamomile tea?

Thanks Dry! I have to see what I have in the medicine cabinet because I am not going out to the store right now. I going to see if I can make some homemade chicken soup tomorrow.

No whiskey or chamomile tea either.
