Monster of lock! Catnip can affect lions and tigers, too! A goldfish named Mr. Hot Wing, born without a lower jawbone, now wears a custom set of braces to hold his mouth open! For over 39 years, Alan Freed collected every broken or misplaced luggage lock while working at Reagan National Airport in Washington DC- finally creating one giant padlock with over 11,000 locks, weighing over 300 pounds!

Can catnip also affect jaguars, panthers, and ocelots too? (How did they even put braces on such a small mouth?)

Even more amazing is that he worked at an airport for 39 years and kept his sanity.

Worked at an airport, collected locks, and never grew up enough to wear long pants.

You don’t need to be crazy to work at an airport…..OJT is provided.

So at the beginning of my flight from Reagan National I check my locked baggage and when I arrive at my destination I find the lock missing from my baggage. I thought that the lock then became property of the FAA until the actual property owner could be found. Now I find that it just becomes par of some guys collection. Notice that the description says ‘broken or misplaced’ locks. Broken or misplaced by who?

Reading today’s Believe It or Not, I remember a cartoon where the characters made a ball of yarn out of suspenders to distract tigers. It was yarn instead of catnip, but still I was reminded of the cartoon
