As a parent I naturally love my children equally and with all my heart
Dicky: Gimme a hug!
Missy: Yeah. No. where's mommy?
My kids however didn't get the memo.
Yeah, it took me ages to love my dad as much as I loved my mom. For a while, I was downright hostile to him, and none of us knew quite why. But a good psychologist figured it out: Dad and I were both introverts. He hadn’t been as forthcoming as Mom, and I resented it. As the adult, he had to make the first move. It worked.
