Didn’t work with me. My father wanted me to eat some godawful food and I just sat there to bedtime. I’m not picky and I can’t remember what it was only that I hated it. Might have been parsnip which I cannot stand, yuk.

That might work with most kids… but, I know a couple kids that are stubborn enough to starve themselves to a point of malnutrition, just to make a point.

Or then there is the 5 year old who gets uncontrollably cranky when they are hungry, but refuses to admit that they are hungry because they don’t like the food.
