The storms the hit Chicago yesterday with a Tornado came roaring south and east through Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio and hit West Virginia, where I live along the River in a series of severe thunderstorms, one after another. The weather bureau calls that a “train” for obvious reasons. With 2.6 inches of rain as of 9:00am and it’s still storming, there are flood warnings out. How is my cat affected? He hates thunder and heavy rain. So he is down in the basement, probably on a shelf, shaking, waiting it out. Poor Tabby. I am on a highland, way above the river with no streams within blocks.

I hear you loud and clear. Good to not be in the middle of it and good to be pretty much “down stream”.

I loved ‘F Troop’ when I was a kid. I met Larry ‘Corporal Agarn’ Storch many years later and told him how much I liked the show and he was so pleased, a very nice guy.

Even tho I haven’t posted much in the last week, I have enjoyed reading all of the postings. And, it goes without saying that you all post wonderful pics.

Last night in a hotel – should be back in Hurricane about noon tomorrow. I’m tired of living out of a suitcase.

We drove from Reno to Lehi (south of Salt Lake City) today and it was a LONG drive. We hit rush hour traffic in SLC and even tho we took the 215 loop around it, there was a lot of construction that slowed everyone down.

I was supposed to get 5 kittens on Friday. Do you think Linda at the shelter will let me have them? NO. She said they are old enough to sit in the cages. Grrrrr!!

And, she adopted out a few WITHOUT having them fixed! And, she did not give the people Susans’ info so she can arrange for it for FREE.

We all know that eventually we’re going to see babies from those kitties.

Rereading the comments, I realize that my Honeymooners comment was right in line with Rose’s Mark Twain quote.
