That’s bloody brilliant.
Lots of symbolic comic language going on here: squeans, briffits, hites, crowfoot eyes, breath puff, and that hanging crescent moon to indicate the vast night.
Plewds, wafterons, agitrons and grawlix would probably have been overkill.
Maybe this guy and the guy from Marital Mirth can get together and do a “Strangers On A Train” crossover comic.
Kip I found all terms except hites, all I got was reference to some fat guy named Eric :-/
I think Andy Capp did this story, sometime in 1962.
