If God is all-good, all-knowing and all-powerful, how can there be evil? If there were no evil in the universe, there would be no Batman. Praise the Lord! The quickest way to convert comic geeks is the argument from Batman.
We are a fallen people. Our civilization is dust and nothing remains except a few megalithic structures and a handful of stories, the keys to which we have lost. But we have discovered the Titans and the Valley of Gehenna, so we are definitely on our way back up.Wheeeee…
The argument from evil: refuting the existence of god (at least the western-style, tri-omni, sky god) since approximately 450 AUC: “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” (Epicurus)
