rj: does it seem hotter this summer? Verne: Climate change. verne: Each year seems to break anther record. verne: each year the polar ice caps seem to get smaller. rj: Where does all that water go? rj: oh, right.
“NOA” started recording temps in the 1870’s and they give the record high and low (radio) for the next day for each covered area. With that in mind, for my area, it has pretty much been: a been there and done that for many seasons.
Nearly the entire icecap of the Norh Pole could melt and the water level would not rise. The icecap is floating. Does your full iced drink cup overflow when the ice melts?
Hey Lewis & Fry, in case you missed, the global warming was declared a hoax. The 97% of scientist agreeing to it turned out to be a fabrication. You are beating a dead horse.
The funny thing is that the Koch brothers claim scientists are hoaxing climate change to justify their maybe $75K salary while they are making $3,000,000K selling fossil fuels.
I guess that isn’t the funny thing – the funny thing is people BELIEVE it!
I read my morning comics of laughs (hence the word “comics”), not certain political points of view – especially crackpot ones. So, g’bye, ‘Over the Hedge’, you’ve been removed from my favorites list.
18 years with no appreciable warming which coincides with lulls in the sunspot activity indicative of output of energy from that huge solar fusion reactor millions of miles away which supplies all the energy to this little rocky satellite of it with a thin shield of magnetism and atmosphere.
Those advocating “remedies” for purported-anthropomorphic global warming are indistinguishable from socialists who intend to minimize individual freedom. Any excuse will do, and they will gladly manufacture a baseless “parade of horribles” to justify abolishing freedom.

I just love it when this strip strays into fantasy…
