Not likely the same tire size or the lugs will not match up with wheel anyway.

Fusnr, it’s been decades since I worked in a full-service gas station, but there’s a reasonable chance the tires and lug holes will match. Rover’s truck doesn’t look like a modern Tonka toy, so it may have decent-sized tires. If the tires on truck and bus have the same diameter, then the rims will have the same diameter and the same five lug-holes in the right location.

Well, then let’s hope Rover has a tire to spare.

Most likely calling Slim (it IS their business). This is actually a nice story development as it ties the story back into the GA family characters acting in a functionally manner.

Unless the bus is based on one of the mini-trucks from the 70s thru 80s that had the American-made after market duel wheel setup, all the wheels will be interchangeable.

Not that Rover is actually Slim’s progeny…on the other hand, it may be catching….

Too bad the cellphones gave out - they could have called the school district’s bus garage and had someone come out with a spare tire…and a little common sense.

What I hope is that this story is leading up to a Sunday feature which will center around SOMONE - (anyone!) walking in the woods to check out all of the fall colors. I wonder if that abandoned store which they passed is one of the stores which Walt and Skeezix used to pass when they took their annual walk in the woods? I do remember one of the “fall colors” strips which led Walt and Skeezix past a little store and the two of them commented at the time that it was strange to see buildings beginning to spring up where it had once all been open fields and forest.

My sentiments exactly! It seems like it has been several years since Walt and Skeezix last took a walk in the woods to check out the fall colors. Hopefully, this story will lead up to the inclusion of a number of the members of the Wallet clan becoming involved in the action!
