Well, it looks like a good idea, but remember that the bus is balanced on the edge of a cliff. Jacking it up, plus removing some weight from the “safe” side of the bus, could be enough to unbalance it. The resulting megillah could easily pull Rover over the edge …
Boog, you are one smart kid! Pull this off and the Addams Family will adopt you!
But did you find the Jack. ? Taking off the back tire would probably only take a 1/2 inch or so to pull it off unless it was sunk into the ground a bit after the stop. But the front tire being flat will probably mean 5 -6 inches higher and may cause an intelligent person a gray hair or two, but no problem for Rover “The Over the Side Man”
We where far from home didn’t know before we left how bad our tires where. I turned to soon at a rest stop and ruined a hub cap. My hubby driving next day we where somewhere else and it was raining he turned and damaged a wheel. Had to put on a spare. When took car for repair found out there where bad tires.
When we had tire spare had to drive slower. Family we where staying with wondered what happened. Had to wait a day for July 4th was upon us then hubby got tires replaced.
the first thing to do, is to move the bus to solid ground. Either drive it or tow it out of the position it is in. then run the inside dual onto a block of wood or a rock large enough to lift the outside tire off the ground. No jack needed on this end. The front end is a different story.
Sounds like a good idea, but I’m not so sure it would work.
Most buses and tractors (tractor trailer) have a Budd wheel on the front with a solid rim. The tandem back wheels of the bus (or trailer wheels) are more like a doughnut rim that just slides on with a spacer between them.
Calling the school should have been the first thing they did. This is not a job that one man can take care of . They need special equipment, like a tow truck.

Maybe that’s why the bus doesn’t need to carry a spare.

Rover and Boog look like they’re separated in age by five years tops.

I’ve tried that trick and drove back at 5 MPH.

And why hasn’t the school been contacted yet to send someone over from the GA Garage? Oh yea, it’s a comic strip!

Didn’t somebody (or several somebodies) suggest this solution yesterday?

Don’t know much about bus wheels, but I know a smart kid when I hear one. Rover can’t be his natural dad.

Unfortunately Rover won’t be able to help with the tire switch, as his right hand has turned into a cow udder.
