Ralph: I could've sworn we had a box of leftover donuts around here! I wanted them for a midnight snack! My kids probably hid them from me, but where? I know all the hiding places! Could they have eaten them all? I don't see an empty box in the trash! Norman: At camp, that's how they taught us to keep our food away from the bears!

Left-over donuts in that house? I don’t think so.

Day-old donuts aren’t worth eating. (But after a few more days you can call them bagels and some people won’t notice the difference.)

I put them in a ziploc bag, and freeze them. 20 seconds in the microwave, and they taste fresh. Only problem is that my kids can see through the bag. If I really want to hide them, I need to put the bag in a box from food they don’t like.

Smiley R MomActually, it works with most baked goods. I freeze donuts separately (to avoid sticking), then bag them while frozen. Take them out as needed and microwave openly. A whole day (or two) day old loaf of bread can be frozen in its wrapper, later thawed and refrigerated to be used the same as a fresh loaf.

ApikorosNot as adults. They get too heavy for the tree to hold them.
