Foreshadowing

I wonder if that Space Coupe orbiting around the Earth (so it looked to me) is what is bothering Mysta. Mike says that Honeymoon and Mysta will be featured a lot in the fall. That could be what they are foreshadowing.

I’m still trying to catch up on my weekly post. I may post it today, otherwise tomorrow.

It might be the lingering post-traumatic stress of her encounter with Mr. Bribery that’s the problem.

Following up from a few days ago, I contacted Sydney to see how he’s doing, but I haven’t heard back yet. Hope he’s okay.

“Something is really bothering her,” hmmm. Related to the moon people perhaps? Will we finally meet them this fall?

I am still thinking about Rikki’s contract. Is it Honeymoon? Or is it Mysta?

We had seen it near Jupiter at one point.

We know that “the last Space Coupe” went whizzing past Mars (Oct. 17, 2013 strip) and pilot Satellite Munro said in the next day’s strip, “We’re now on a collision course with Jupiter.”

However, I don’t think that the Coupe we saw on July 4 is that one. The very next day, we saw that Moon people were on Earth. How did they get there? In a Space Coupe, of course!

Back in some December, 2012, strips, we saw that Moon Valley had been deserted. Diet Smith reminded us that, when the Moon Governor banished Earth people, “he had several Space Coupes finished and more under construction. The Space Coupes are gone. I think the Moon people left for another place …” (Dec. 27, 2012).

I think that the one we saw recently was one of those, not the one that Diet Smith sent into seep space. I’m still thinking that the Moon people went somewhere else after that last visit to the grave, but now they are back in Earth orbit.

Also, Tracy hypothesized that if the Moon people left in Space Coupes, one of the Moon people might be on Earth (which would have explained the Moon Maid sightings).

Diet Smith replied that, yes, it would have explained the mysterious sightings, “but there haven’t been any Space Coupe sightings,” he said, “I would be the first to know, Tracy.” So … the idea that the Moon people escaped to Earth was deemed unlikely at the time.

Sail, Ghote and Munro took a one way trip to Jupiter…..you won’t see them or that Space Coupe again.

It is bothering Honeymoon that something is bothering Mysta. The third panel is especially fine. I agree that the fourth of July Space Coupe sighting was a hint of visitors headed this way.

Whoops! A little diversion from the Tracy Vacation/Kadaver Showdown story! I guess we need to allow the plane time for its flight over the Atlantic.Honeymoon’s instincts are usually good, so I expect that there really is something bothering Mysta—“bothering” or worse….

If Mysta is Rikki’s contract, I think Abner’s opinion of her has dropped precipitously because fighting the titular character of the strip is not good for your health, but fighting someone with Mysta’s powers is really bad for your health.
