Man: Everytime I scan a lottery ticket, it says, "sorry, not a winner." Man 2: Oh well, better luck next time. Man 1: But I'm beginning to wonder whether it's commenting on my lottery ticket in particular, or me in general.
Your chance of a winning ticket is less than your chance of dying on the way to the store to buy it. Of course you can change that by buying many tickets per visit. Then your chance of bankruptcy is higher than your chances of a winning ticket.
