I just kinda chuckle at phone scams, but I was surprised to get 2 in about an hour one day. One was a problem with my taxes (I could get twice the disability and still not have to file), and another one saying they’re from “Microsoft” and my computer’s infected. I haven’t used Windows in 10 years. Go figure…

There is a Google Update that shows up sporadically, if you’re up to date Google stops it, but don’t fall for it. It is malware.

Last week I received an email supposedly from Yahoo saying my account had been hacked and would be closed within 48 hours if I didn’t click on the link. Spent the next few days fielding calls from contacts wondering if I was OK as they’d gotten urgent messages from me requesting help and $. Soooooo embarassing!

When someone tried to hack my email one time, I immediately changed the password and it hasn’t been hacked since.

Got an email one Monday from a woman I’d seen at church on Sunday, saying she was stuck in London. Had a good laugh, and she changed her password. However, I would also like to know ho they keep the chowder together when hey fry it. Curious minds want to know.

There was a church lady who got one of those ‘The IRS is coming to getcha’ calls threating fines and jail, and she told them that was odd, she worked for the IRS…..and the disconnect clicked and she’s not had another one since, though I have had several. And the Microsoft scam. They’re in a call-center from India so I just tell him he’s a scam and hang up. He calls about every 3 months, I call him ‘Pebbles-in-Mouth’ because that’s how bad his English is.
