One time I answered the one and it turned out to be a guy with an Indian accent trying to pull a scam, so I had my dad play along while I listened on the other line, and it got to be really funny, especially when my dad threw in some questions that had the would be scammer swearing in his native language and he hanged up.That is called trolling the scammer. ;)
Hubby answered the phone one night and the caller thought he was in contact with a resort in Wisconsin. Hubby played along for 20 minutes thinking it was his brother pulling his usual stunts. But wouldn’t you like a cabin where you could fish right out of the window? That was until he heard a little girl in the background and realized she was too young for our niece.

Caller ID is great. No more answering crazy calls.

…but sometimes they get more aggressive, just to continue to annoy you. I just say, “sorry, I’m not interested” and hang up.
