I might be sick. Do you need to go to the doctor? How would I know? You've been sick before. You know what you felt like when you had to go to the doctor. I felt like my mommy love me and knew what I needed more than I did! You'd better go to a college within an easy drive, Toby.

I’ve had adult offspring call and ask about how to handle “not feeling good”. I gave them simple advice. Dad tells them to call the doctor.

My 34 year old daughter still calls and says, “Mommy, I’m sick.” A few “poor baby”s later she’s fine. I hope she never outgrows the need for her mother’s love.

I was ready to guess that Toby had acid indigestion from the first panel, but his baggy eyes and raised left hand in the last panel suggest a chest cold.
