Linus’ grandma is similar to my own two. One only had time for boys—girls just didn’t exist—and the other didn’t like kids, not even her own. I always wondered what it would have been like to have grandparents that wanted my company, let alone “spoil” me.
Make a compromise, and just have the blanket in bed at night. It will wait for you. A good compromise is part of getting through life without a straight jacket. Or jail time.

If Linus keeps getting tormented like that, he’s going to need the blanket even more than before.

So why is he despising that term “favorite charity”?

I applaud Linus for donating to charity. If it’s his favorite, then he’s donated before.

It’s OK to be a bit selfish in your life.
If you’re nice all the time then people just walk all over you.
I’ve been there.

If Linus’s parents don’t mind the blanket, then Grandma needs to butt out!
